The Recaps of BlissDom09
On February 6, 2009, approximately 250 women bloggers armed with laptops and smartphones and high tech cameras, a handful of nursing babies, and various PR and marketing representatives converged on the Hotel Preston in Nashville, Tennessee for a sold-out conference on blogging and social media run by Allison Worthington of Blissfully Domestic and Worthington Wire and Barbara Jones of One2One Network.

With two tracks, Novice and Apprentice, panel sessions covered topics ranging from finding your voice to working with PR and social media to ad agencies and networks. Whether you blog as a hobby or for profit, there was something for everyone at Blissdom ‘09.
Attendees agreed that the relationships formed were by far the highlight of the weekend. Cocktail parties and pajama parties and karaoke provided a comfortable backdrop for socializing and networking.
The entertainment was outstanding as well. On Saturday morning we were treated to a surprise screening of the new Yanni Voices, and afterward two of the singers, Ender Thomas and Nathan Pacheco, walked in the door and sang Happy Birthday to a few of the attendees.
Chris Mann provided vocal entertainment on Saturday night, and the fabulous Jen Lancaster, best-selling author of Bitter is the New Black and Such a Pretty Fat, delivered the Keynote Address.
Basically, we just had a rollicking good time!
