BlissDom’10 Follow Your Bliss
THIS JUST IN:
Harry Connick Jr. is a super-star and in high demand this week as he plays at Clive Davis’ super-exclusive Grammy Party this weekend and was just offered to play at the Super Bowl where his hometown New Orleans Saints are playing. Being a gentleman of his word, he didn’t cancel on us but rather offered to move his appearance to Friday night instead. We gladly accepted of course!!!
So don’t forget to have fun and come out with us on Friday, February 5 from 7-9 pm at FUSE Nightclub.
And to get ready for your night out, don’t miss the make-up artists from Cover Girl who will be in the exhibit area from 5-7 pm doing Smoky Eyes for our attendees who are interested.
Blissdom ‘10 is currently sold out, so sign up for the waiting list in case anything opens up and in the meantime, don’t forget to explore the wisdom workshops!
Soles4Souls Shoe Drive for Haiti at BlissDom
Please bring a few pairs of shoes to Blissdom and drop them off at the Soles4Souls booth. You can also learn how your blog can help this charity and people around the world. Help make a difference for those in Haiti!
Now get ready to swoon!!
I know we’ve been teasing you on Twitter with the announcement of our special guests at BlissDom’10.

As you probably know, we have a wonderful closing keynote session on Saturday, Feb. 6 that will be moderated by Holly Hamann (@hollyk) of The Blog Frog and features Jennifer McKinney (@MckMama) of MckMama.com and Wendy Scherer (@wendyscherer) of The Social Studies Group. In this fabulous presentation, real women – real industry mavens– bring home how technologies like blogs, forums, and social media are giving women an unprecedented voice to share their stories, inspire their communities, and create real change in the world. Hear first-hand how MckMama’s community rallied the hearts of millions around the globe. And to help tie things up in celebration, we’ll tie one on with a very special guest whose community efforts in his hometown of New Orleans helped Katrina victims keep the spirit of their community alive. Help us welcome an accomplished performer, a dedicated philanthropist and a consummate family man, the one-and-only Harry Connick Jr.
!

Because BlissDom will never be without exciting entertainment, we’re so incredibly honored that Harry Connick Jr. will join us and perform a few songs! Harry fully grasps the power of community by conceiving the Musician’s Village in New Orleans along with his friend and fellow New Orleans native, Branford Marsalis after the Hurricane Katrina tragedy. As of September 2009, 72 homes were built for the Musicians Village by Habitat for Humanity. Harry’s new album ‘Your Songs’ was recently nominated for a Grammy and so Harry will be heading to BlissDom after he hits the Grammy’s in LA on January 31. (Um, yeah, seriously…how amazing is that?) Here’s a little video of Harry talking about Habitat for Humanity and the Musician’s Village he helped conceive: http://www.nolamusiciansvillage.org/video/ Have you checked out the Sessions for Blissdom’10? Tickets for the 500 spots are in high demand and we are releasing tickets in limited quantities each week. This is done to avoid immediate sell-out. The conference pass is now $299. The BlissDom Wisdom Workshops page has just launched. Space is limited for these special in-depth classes.
